The Jeppesen database utilized by nearly all GPS manufacturers contains data on six airports in Baja. Guess what? There’re a whole lot more airstrips in Baja and the BD-1 is the perfect tool to find these marvelous places. Export the database to your GPS and off you go. The waypoints will show up on your moving map allowing “Direct To” flying and will aid in locating an emergency landing strip or locating a timely “comfort stop.”

The BD-1 is a CD that contains all the User Waypoints shown on the GH-22 aeronautical chart and in the AIR BAJA! book. The .gpx format allows these waypoints to be imported into most mapping programs (including Google Plus, DeLorme, Garmin’s MapSource and NGS Topo!). But most exciting is the discovery of a new FREE downloadable program called EasyGPS. This program allows the transfer of waypoints from the BD-1 directly to your GPS. It works so well, you won’t believe it! A download link to EasyGPS is contained on the BD-1 CD. Currently EasyGPS only works with Windows-based PCs.
